Student Volunteers (Counselors)
Volunteer at Camp Wheez! Students are invited to apply to become camp counselors and earn community service hours.
Camp counselors are high school students who work alongside medical professionals and community volunteers to create a safe, fun camp environment and guide campers through a variety of activities. Counselors will learn about asthma and
health, gain experience working with children and earn up to 30 community service hours.
Junior camp counselor are junior high or middle school students who assist counselors and staff. This position is a great opportunity to continue being part of Camp Wheez while gaining experience toward being a counselor in the future.
This position is open only by invitation to former campers.
Counselors must be available the following dates:
Orientation: Tuesday, July 18, 3:00 to 4:30 pm
Camp: Monday, July 31 – Friday, August 4, 7:30 am – 1:00 pm
Vaccination Requirement
For the safety of all who attend Camp Wheez, COVID-19 vaccination is required for all counselors. This includes completion of the primary series and at least
one booster (if eligible).
Volunteer positions fill up fast! Submit your application as soon as possible and no later than July 10.
