WomenHeart

Nearly 48 million women in the United States are living with or are at risk for heart disease. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women in the United States.

Research shows that women who have close family relationships and good friendships make better recoveries from heart events. WomenHeart is a national organization dedicated to advancing women’s heart health through advocacy, community education and patient support. They offer a range of support services to help women heart disease survivors live healthier lives.

WomenHeart Support Group - Santa Barbara

Support Groups are led by WomenHeart Champions, trained patient volunteers who live in Santa Barbara County. Meetings are an opportunity to connect with other women in the community who are at risk of or living with heart disease and to share encouragement. Guest speakers occasionally join to present the latest information on heart disease and health.

Free of charge and open to the community. Click here to view upcoming dates. Meetings are currently held via Zoom. To sign up and receive the Zoom link, email WH-SantaBarbara@womenheart.org
