Travel & Tropical Medicine Center

Our Philosophy

Educating the traveler on how to avoid illness is our goal. Travelers are advised on the importance of personal protection measures against mosquito and tick bites, and proper food and water hygiene to avoid illness. Travelers are provided with their own packet of printed information with specific written information about their country of destination, appropriate maps delineating malaria risk areas, and pre-travel check lists of useful supplies. Specific information on rabies prevention, altitude illness, and water exposure risks are given when appropriate.

In contrast to other providers who may only provide pre-travel vaccination, Dr. Scully has years of experience diagnosing and treating post-travel infections for Santa Barbara area travelers.
