About
Ms. Rasmussen is a certified nurse midwife and women's health nurse practitioner. She received her master of science in nursing degree and her nurse practitioner training at Georgetown University in Washington, DC., and her her bachelor of science in nursing degree from California State University - Channel Islands. She previously worked at Cornerstone House, an intermediate care facility for the developmentally disabled in Carpinteria, Santa Barbara Planned Parenthood, and several private OBGYN practices in north Santa Barbara County and Ventura County.
Professional Distinctions
Sarah has served as a peer reviewer and contributor for the Clinical Practice Guidelines in Midwifery and Women’s Health textbook. She also spearheaded a project to develop client teaching handouts to accompany the book.
