The board-certified specialists in the Sansum Clinic Infectious Diseases Department provide clinical care and consultative services to patients, other physicians and the community on infectious diseases. 

Infectious Disease Services & Treatments

Particular areas of expertise within the department include diagnosis and treatment of complicated infectious diseases including HIV/AIDS, influenza, viral infections, diarrhea, tuberculosis, osteomyelitis, meningitis, endocarditis, antibiotic use and resistance, travel and tropical medicine, infections, and preparedness planning for biological emergencies.  Primary care is also available for HIV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C patients.

Infectious Disease Referrals

Our Infectious Disease specialists work in close collaboration with caregivers from other departments, including Internal Medicine and Travel and Tropical Medicine, to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients.

Referrals are necessary for most insurance plans. Patients must schedule appointments directly with this department and may receive special instructions regarding your visit.
