Sansum Clinic’s comprehensive diabetes education program provides up-to date information and support to help you manage your diabetes for the best health possible. Patients with diabetes who require more specialized care are referred to our Endocrinology Department

One-on-one support is available for pregnant individuals who have type 1 or 2 diabetes or have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Patients are referred to the Diabetes Educator by their OB as needed.

Diabetes Basics

This free 4-week program is recommended for anyone with prediabetes or diabetes, especially newly diagnosed. You will learn:

  • How you can manage your blood sugar
  • Why checking blood sugar can improve your health
  • About nutrition and Yes! you can eat fun foods
  • Why physical activity is important
  • About stress, sleep, and your blood sugar
