Sansum Clinic Legacy Society

Today more than ever, your support is vital.  Support from people like you is essential to our mission to provide an excellent healthcare experience, recognizing our first priority is the patients we serve.

Without friends like you we could not have provided high quality, innovative healthcare to residents of our community and beyond for the past 90 years!

As you know, maintaining the same quality of healthcare despite the ongoing changes in the industry will be very challenging.  We are inviting our friends to consider providing future support by including a gift in your estate for Sansum Clinic.  We hope you will think of us as part of your extended family.  Naturally no gift should be directed to us until all of your immediate family and other loved ones have been adequately provided for.

There are a number of very attractive giving opportunities.  Most people simply arrange a gift in their will or living trust.  This is the most popular and the easiest gift to arrange.  Consider discussing with your legal counsel a gift of a fixed dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, the remainder or even a specific parcel of real estate.  Your gift may be designated for one or more specific needs.  A gift not designated for a specific program or service enables Sansum Clinic maximum flexibility in addressing its changing needs.

Some donors benefit from a variety of “giving for income” plans, for example a charitable trust.  Many people have experienced growth in their real estate or other investments through the years.  Disposing of appreciated assets in later years is often an expensive process.  The charitable trust may be the answer.  Highly appreciated assets transferred into a charitable trust may be sold by the trustee without the imposition of a tax on the gain.  As you may know, that tax has been increased this year.  Most of the original value is preserved by using the trust.  A fixed or variable income is available.

You may also choose from an array of other giving opportunities such as gift annuities which provide you with some tax-free income.  Other gift arrangements include life estates, life insurance and retirement funds.  We have a gift planning specialist available to you, as a complimentary service, when you consider giving to Sansum Clinic.

As you contemplate providing for your family needs in the future, we hope you will think of Sansum Clinic as part of your extended family and provide for the future of quality healthcare in your community as well.

When you arrange a future gift for us in your estate, we automatically enroll you as a member of our Sansum Clinic Legacy Society.  This group of loyal friends will be recognized in our annual report, or if requested remain anonymous.

Our members represent all ages, come from all walks of life and are dedicated to helping us bring together the best physicians, the latest technologies, and the most comprehensive healthcare to meet the specialized needs of our community.

A provision in your estate enhances our opportunity to provide future generations’ quality healthcare services.  I hope you will consider leaving a legacy to Sansum Clinic by which you will be remembered.

Let us know if you have already remembered Sansum Clinic in your estate plan, so we can say thank you and enroll you in the Sansum Clinic Legacy Society!
