We offer comprehensive immigration evalutations and immunization services for individuals seeking immigration to the Unites States.
Immigration Physicals are required for all persons seeking citizenship in the USA. The Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services are responsible for varifying the validity of these exams. Only a physician that has been appointed as a CIVIC SURGEON by these agencies is qualified to do these exams.
David Wyatt, MD, FAAFP, received his appointment as a Civil Surgeon in June of 2010. He is one of only 4 in Santa Barbara County and the only Sansum Clinic physician with this designation.
The immigration evaluation requires full vital signs, a physical exam, a blood test (no fasting required), a tuberculosis test or chest X-ray. In addition, a number of immunizations are required. The immunization requirements vary by age. If an immigration candidate has had the immunizations and can show proof, no additional shots will be required.
Immigration Exams are done either Monday or Tuesday mornings at 8:00 am.
- No apointment necessary.
- You will be required to return in 48 hours to finalize the immigration paperwork.
- Charges vary depending on the immunizations required. If you need no immunizations and do not require a chest x-ray for tuberculosis clearance, the charge is $175.00
