Dr. Mark L. Silverberg Completes Three-City Tour on Behalf of American Academy of Pediatrics - Archived
Dr. Mark L. Silverberg just returned from Chicago, Baltimore, and Las Vegas where he was invited to speak on behalf of the American Academy of Pediatrics regarding Bacterial Resistance in Community Acquired Conjunctivitis.
While in Las Vegas, he also gave Grand Rounds at the University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Silverberg has been an ophthalmologist with Sansum Clinic, specializing in pediatric ophthalmology, since 2001. Dr. Silverberg is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Philosophy from Yale University and received is Medical Degree from University of California San Francisco. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and an Internship at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Dr. Silverberg also completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and a Fellowship in Adult Strabismus at the University of California Los Angeles/Jules Stein Eye Institute.
Dr. Silverberg currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Silverberg also serves as a medical consultant for the popular TV series Crime Scene Investigation (CSI). He is a renowned national and international lecturer on eye muscle disorders, and has performed volunteer eye surgeries in Kenya, India, and Vietnam in affiliation with a humanitarian organization; he also volunteers at local events for the organization.
He has a comprehensive ophthalmology practice, with special interest in pediatric eye disorders, eye muscle problems and double vision. In addition to English, Dr. Silverberg is also fluent in Spanish.
