Free Day Camp for Elementary School Aged Kids with Asthma
Sansum Clinic has taken the leadership role of Camp Wheez under the direction of Dr. Myron Liebhaber, who with the American Lung Association founded Camp Wheez 33 years ago. Camp Wheez is a free day camp for children ages 6 to 12 with chronic asthma, offering a camp experience designed for their special needs.
The 2010 camp, scheduled for August 9-13, will provide asthma education, physical development skills, arts and crafts projects and good old-fashioned camp fun! The biggest camper and the most excited of the group is always Dr. Liebhaber 
, who specializes in Allergy and Immunology at Sansum Clinic. Dr. Liebhaber holds the honor of being named 2009 Physician of the Year by the Santa Barbara County Medical Society.

Camp Wheez is a day camp for elementary school children (grades 1 – 6) with chronic asthma providing them with a unique camp experience designed for their special needs.
Campers participate in:
- Learning about their asthma
- Physical development skills
- Arts & crafts
- Old-fashioned camp fun!
Under the leadership of Dr. Myron Lieberhaber, Camp Wheez is staffed by medical professionals and community volunteers.

On Friday, August 13, parents are invited to a brief workshop for an update on asthma care and to have their questions answered by our medical staff. The workshop will be followed by a play presented by the children.

Campo Diurno para Niños con Asma Crónica
Camp Wheez es un campo diurno para niños de la escuela primaria (grados 1 – 6) con asma crónica brindándoles a ellos una experiencia especial de un campo diseñado para sus necesidades especiales.
Los participantes pueden:

- Desarrollar sus habilidades físicas
- Hacer arte y artesanías
- Tener actividades tradicionales muy divertidas
