Why is private support of Sansum Clinic so important?
Because the future of health care is everyone's concern.
Sansum Clinic is
- the largest provider of outpatient services between the LA Basin and Bay Area,
- the major entity in recruiting specialists and primary care physicians to fill the needs of the community at large,
- serving the residents of Santa Barbara County through 17 facilities,
- offering over 150 affiliated physicians in more than 30 medical specialties,
- providing care to 1 in 4 people in Santa Barbara County,
- administering flu shots to 22,000 people annually (free to those unable to pay),
- collaborating with the Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics to provide free diagnostic services to those in need,
- invested in the community by offering free health education classes, seminars and employer health fairs, and
- independent and able to respond to the needs of the community.
The rapid evolution of medical treatments and technologies, and soaring costs, continue to increase the challenges to health care today. As a nonprofit organization, Sansum Clinic relies on private support from people like you so that we may continue our commitment to the heath care needs of our community.
