The Pediatrics department provides comprehensive health care services for young people, starting at birth and continuing through infancy, childhood, adolescence and young adulthood. We offer the full range of pediatric care, from well child care and immunizations to the treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
A Staff That Cares
The entire Pediatrics staff takes great pride in providing quality and personalized care.
Our pediatricians are board-certified physicians, specializing in disorders of children and young adults. They are also experts in preventive medicine and well child care.
Leaders In Their Field
Our pediatricians are highly-qualified, having earned board certifications from the American Board of Pediatrics. Each of our board-certified pediatricians is dedicated to providing personalized care to your child and family.
The department's medical staff is assisted by friendly and skilled pediatric nurse practitioners (PNPs), board certified by the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses. Our PNPs have advanced nursing backgrounds as well as medical education and training, enabling them to provide a broad range of health care services for infants, children and adolescents.
A visit with your pediatrician or PNP may include:
- A complete physical exam
- Developmental assessment (DDST)
- Evaluation and treatment of common illnesses
- Health education and guidance with breast feeding
- Developmental, nutritional, behavioral and parenting guidance
Our pediatricians and PNPs participate in continuing medical education, ensuring that our patients benefit from the latest advancements in pediatric care.
Leaders In The Community
The members of the Pediatrics department enjoy being active in the community. Many participate as educators and volunteers for Camp Wheez, the American Lung Association's day camp for children with asthma. Others enjoy contributing their talents as community educators, regularly providing health information to local schools, support groups and parenting organizations. Still others offer their medical expertise to local children's athletic programs, as team doctors and nurses.
