Expert Pediatric Staff

Our pediatricians are board-certified physicians, specializing in disorders of children and young adults. They are also experts in preventive medicine and well childcare, and take pride in providing quality and personalized care.

The department's medical staff is assisted by friendly and skilled pediatric nurse practitioners (PNPs), board certified by the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses. Our PNPs have advanced nursing backgrounds as well as medical education and training, enabling them to provide a broad range of healthcare services for infants, children and adolescents.

What to Expect at a Pediatric Visit

A visit with your pediatrician or PNP may include:

  • A complete physical exam
  • Developmental assessment (DDST)
  • Evaluation and treatment of common illnesses
  • Health education and guidance with breast feeding
  • Developmental, nutritional, behavioral and parenting guidance

Our pediatricians and PNPs participate in continuing medical education, ensuring that our patients benefit from the latest advancements in pediatric care. In addition, a patient liaison is available daily to assist you.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated and versatile reception and nursing staff with many years of experience. They are highly educated and experts in their respective fields. Our nurses are available for telephone consultation in regards to problems or questions you may have about your child's behavior, diet and care of minor illness.

The members of the Pediatrics Department enjoy being active in the community. Many participate as educators and volunteers for Camp Wheez, the American Lung Association's day camp for children with asthma. Others enjoy contributing their talents as community educators, regularly providing health information to local schools, support groups and parenting organizations. Still others offer their medical expertise to local children's athletic programs, as team doctors and nurses.
