(This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
1. Prepare schedules for the clinical staff each day; prepare charts and paperwork for patient visits; answer phones, make appointments, make appointment reminder calls; check patients in/out, collect cash payments; obtain or update employer workers’ compensation insurance information, make and take authorization calls for workers compensation visits, including returning P&S patients; take status calls; No Show letters, process exam reviews, open/distribute mail and process mail returns; collect charge sheets, research missing charges, assist with sending out bills; interpret with Spanish speaking patients if bi-lingual (Spanish/English).
2. Participate in department quality improvement activities, safety programs, infection control and hazardous materials programs and activities. All clinic positions require discretion and a high degree of confidentiality.
40 Hours Per Week
> High school diploma with minimum of two years college or equivalent work experience and one year direct experience
> Must have basic accounting knowledge and math skills or cash drawer experience
> Must be computer literate with windows operating systems
> Must type minimum of 45 wpm
> Must be conversant with standard office equipment including phones, computers, fax and standard filing systems.
> Must be able to speak, read, comprehend (and be comprehended) in English.
* Bi-lingual w/Spanish and willingness to become interpreter for patients is helpful.
* 10-key proficiency is helpful
